Our departure from traditional horn speakers marked a turning point in snow goose hunting. The outdated practice of using one or two extremely loud callers with long runs of speaker wire is now a thing of the past. Instead, we've pioneered a method that leverages multiple compact callers, delivering cleaner, more natural audio across the spread. Since 2015, we’ve exclusively hunted over the same products we sell—refining our designs through hands-on use and performance-based innovation.

Why We Moved Away from Horn Speakers

There are several critical reasons we no longer use horn speakers. Foremost among them is what we refer to as “sound wall” flaring. Horn speakers concentrate high volume into a narrow zone, which often causes birds to flare or drift off when flying directly overhead or downwind. In our pursuit of better results, we found that broadcasting more natural sounds at lower volumes through traditional style speakers dramatically increased our success rate—especially in getting birds to finish directly over the callers.

Furthermore, deploying multiple caller units throughout a spread—rather than relying on one or two—creates a more immersive and realistic soundscape. This strategic distribution has significantly enhanced our ability to bring birds in close and finish them consistently.
